Library Gardens Volunteer Team

Four ladies volunteer for garden care: two work in the serenity garden, one cares for the mailbox garden, one new volunteer finding her place. Spice club has planted herbs and vegetables in the American Flag garden.

Campaign Status

All large sandwich board signs are placed in visible locations throughout Hamburg Township.

Final Community Forum: 7/25/22 - Mary Evergreen will attend with Holly

2) New Library Page Hiring

Hiring new Library Page to replace Elsa prior to her departure for college at the end of the summer.

Annual Policies Review

Review/discussion of annual Policies initiated.

Tabled: Discussion regarding existing Telecommute Policy and potential new Challenged Materials policy until all members are available to participate.

Website Development

Friends website updates continue to move forward with assistance from Library IT contact.

Millage Campaign Support
  • Provided final letter supporting millage to Library
  • Helped get posters in local businesses
  • Signs on major roads
  • Judy Webber will do WHMI radio interview with Holly (recorded Friday 7/22 @ 3:30pm)
Book Sale Signs

Friends Book Sale signs have been ordered - Library is helping offset some costs with HOPE Grant funding.

  • Fall "open house-tour-social" to meet members and encourage involvement
  • Moving forward with Business Memberships plans
  • Encourage involvement: book sale, gift shop, social media, etc.
